Establishment of projects devoid of party affiliation, says Buhari
President Muhammad Buhari on Tuesday, said that it is not in his interest to to leave any part of the country behind in his quest to provide better life for Nigerians.
Speaking at the commissioning of 120 bed hospital for mother and child in Makurdi, Benue State capital, President Buhari said that establishment of projects are done without party affiliation.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, the President called on Benue people to join hands together in the effort to rebuild the country.
The President said that the 120 bed hospital was fully equipped with state of the arts equipment and added that it was a practical way to address the maternal and child mortalities in the country.
He further said that 15 of such facilities were completed in other states awaiting commissioning while 12 were at various stages of completion.
Speaking at the occasion, Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, commended the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs for approving the project and ensuring its full completion.
Ortom who was represented by his deputy, Benson Abounu, assured that the state government would continue to ensure seamless execution of SDGs projects in the state.
