Around the 1980s, Engr. Bolakale Kawu graduated from the second oldest in North Central (Nigeria) and first secondary school in Kwara State, that is Government Secondary School (GSS), Ilorin. The school knitted compatriots from different geopolitical zone in Nigeria. The school anthem remains distinctive coupled with its unique culture and widely cherished tradition. As an alumnus of this great citadel, you’re expected to be addressed as an Old Boy who graduated from the oldest secondary school in the State of Harmony.
The immediate past National President of the Old Boys Association doubled as the first Danmasani of Ilorin. Engr. Suleiman Ayinde Yahaya Alapansanpa is also fondly addressed as an old boy, despite his status, age and personality.
A few months ago, the Emir of Ilorin. HRM. Alhaji (Dr). Ibrahim Zulu Gambari (CFR) proclaimed one of the distinguished old boys in the person of Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu Agaka, FNSE, FNIPE. As the new Dan Iyan of Ilorin Emirate. A title that depicts someone highly attractive or visionary in the harmonious city of Ilorin.
Engr. Kale Kawu Agaka, is a philanthropist without being garrulous, a mentor to many, a solution provider, an exemplary achiever and an old boy of my alma mater (GSS Ilorin).
Right from the onset, he has been a leading leader through his succinct prowess and his leadership has left an indelible mark in the parapet of his touches.
His voice has made a rebound in spaces of time because his selflessness has bagged him many awards of excellence.
Aside from being an Engineer, he’s a selfless personality loaded with stuff and he always makes sure to wipe off the tears of the plebs by satisfying their needs,
Such his type is rare in this whole world for his generosity in revamping hopes to the hopeless.
Engr. Kale Kawu has been the light that rekindles others’ way of darkness.
A father to all, who never complains of fathering his duties selflessly and put smiles on the face of many who crossed paths with him. Thanks for the fatherly role played so far.
As the new “Dan Iyan” of Ilorin Emirate, I do not doubt that you can do it even better than your predecessors for the title and power is still at safety hands like you.
You’re savvy enough to drive the mantle of leadership mostly from elders’ forum and I believe your doings from every facet and wherever the space might propel you to.
Truly, good to others is good to self, your good has paid you off handsomely🤝.
May you never turn like a generator coil whose functioning effects has been faxed to its number of turns.
More wins, more blessings, more achievements and successes shall visit your abode.
OLUFADI, WRITES FROM ILORIN WEST.
