The Kwara State Police Public Relation Officer, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, on Wednesday, unveiled his highly anticipated book titled “Memoir of a Police Image Maker”. The book launch event was a grand affair, as renowned personalities from diverse professions gathered to celebrate the achievements of the proficient officer
The 158-pages literary work reflects the exhaustive nature of law enforcement’s responsibilities and the diverse situations they encounter.
The book launch ceremony, held at Banquet hall opposite Kwara Government House in Ilorin, was attended by prominent figures from various fields, including education, entrepreneurship, politics, arts, and culture. Dignitaries from the state and national levels, as well as local community leaders, graced the event to show their support for SP Okansami.
Kwara Commissioner of Police, Victor Olaiya said Okansami is another testament that police officers are not uneducated or empty-headed.
He commended Okansami efforts in portraying the police positively and urged other officers to emulate him.
Speaking with Journalist, Okansami expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response to his book and emphasized the importance of the document as a powerful tool for all those looking to navigate the complex and dynamic landscape of information dissemination and public perception in the modern world.
The book reviewer, Dr. Rasaq Adisa, said the book is significant as it does not only educates but offers valuable insights into the complex and often challenging world of police-public relations, crisis communication, and ethical considerations, making it a must-read for students, journalists, and lawyers, community leaders alike.
