Hon. Orire Olarewaju Ibrahim, the Senior Special Assistant on Transport, extended Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslim citizens in a press release today made available to JustEventOnline. He encouraged residents to reflect on the sacrifices made during Ramadan and continue praying for the state’s peace and development.
Hon. Orire emphasized the importance of road safety during the celebrations. He urged motorists to strictly adhere to traffic rules and regulations to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and prevent accidents.
“While celebrating Eid, let’s keep in mind the Islamic principles of moderation,” Hon. Orire stated. “Citizens should avoid overly joyous celebrations that could lead to reckless behavior.”
He specifically addressed motorcyclists, urging them to avoid dangerous riding practices that have caused injuries and fatalities in past celebrations.
“Law enforcement agencies and traffic officials have been strategically deployed to manage traffic congestion during this festive period,” Hon. Orire concluded.
