EC Kwara Sport Commission, Bola Mogaji reacts as Kwara’s Young Scrabble Champions Secure Top Ranks at PANASA/Winifred Awosika Africa Youth Championship

 

In a display of exceptional wordplay and strategic thinking, Kwara state’s rising scrabble talents, Ali Qudus, Olojoku Sufyan Boluwatife, and Olosun Khalid, clinched impressive victories at the prestigious PANASA/Winifred Awosika Africa Youth Championship. The scrabble event, held recently, witnessed the trio’s remarkable prowess as they secured the 2nd, 5th, and 8th positions, respectively.

Reacting to the development the Exexutive Chairman Kwara State Sports Commission Coach Bola Mogaji said Kwara state can undoubtedly look forward to a promising future in the world of competitive scrabble, he commended the achievements of Ali Qudus, Olojoku Sufyan Boluwatife, and Olosun Khalid.

Speaking further he said, These young champions showcased their dedication and skill on the scrabble board, making our dear state proud with their outstanding performance. Ali Qudus, the 11-year-old prodigy, emerged as a force to be reckoned with, securing the 2nd position. Not far behind, Olojoku Sufyan Boluwatife, aged 13, exhibited his strategic acumen to claim the 5th position. Olosun Khalid, also 11 years old, displayed his aptitude for wordplay, securing an impressive 8th position.

Just Event Online TV reports that The trio’s achievements not only highlight their commitment to the game but also shed light on the potential of young minds in Nigeria’s sporting arena. Their victories serve as an inspiration to aspiring scrabble enthusiasts across the nation, showcasing that age is no barrier to success when determination and talent converge.

Magaji also disclosed that one of these gifted individuals will proudly fly the Nigerian flag at an upcoming scrabble event in Thailand this December. This achievement is a testament to their hard work and dedication, as well as the support and nurturing environment provided by coaches.
