Hundreds benefit as initiative extends to Ekiti, Irepodun, Ifelodun, Oke-Ero, and Isin LGAs
Following the successful flag-off of his historic community empowerment program in Offa and Oyun, the transformative initiative of Dr. Audu Musa Idowu has now spread across the remaining parts of Kwara South Senatorial District, bringing economic relief and fresh opportunities to hundreds of beneficiaries in Ekiti, Irepodun, Ifelodun, Oke-Ero, and Isin Local Government Areas
Over the past two days, members of Dr. Audu’s empowerment team continued the outreach with the distribution of POS machines and cash grants to youths and women in various communities, a move aimed at promoting small-scale entrepreneurship and financial independence.
According to the organizing team, the combination of POS machines with cash support was a strategic decision —ensuring that beneficiaries have both the tools and capital to start their ventures immediately.
The events across the five local governments were organized in collaboration with community representatives, youth leaders, and local coordinators, ensuring fairness, inclusivity, and transparency throughout the selection process.
Community leaders and beneficiaries described the intervention as timely and impactful, especially amid prevailing economic challenges. Many expressed gratitude to Dr. Audu, noting that the initiative would help them launch small businesses, sustain family needs, and contribute to local economic growth.
This latest phase complements the earlier effort in Offa and Oyun, where similar distributions took place under the Dr. Audu Grand Charity Youth Development Initiative—a foundation that has, for nearly two decades, driven community progress through education, healthcare, and youth empowerment
Speaking on behalf of the foundation, representatives emphasized that Dr. Audu’s vision is rooted in practical empowerment, creating lasting opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities.
As this phase concludes, its ripple effects are already visible across Kwara South—small businesses are emerging, youths are finding self-reliance, and communities are regaining confidence in their economic potential.
