Don’t impose on us, Afon Constituency stakeholders urges Gov AbdulRaman, Fagbemi, others

The group of Elders and Stakeholders in Afon Constituency of Asa Local Government Areas of Kwara State, has called on Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq and the Chairman of the Kwara All Progressive Congress, Prince Sunday Fagbemi not to imposed delegates on them

They made the call on Monday during a meeting of the stakeholders held at Igbo Aran in Afon Constituents

“We don’t want the party leaders to force an unknown delegates on us because they will not favour the interest of our people”

They urged the Governor to listen to their plea, added that they are no more interested in their incumbents representative, Hon. Wahab Opakunle, saying he does not represent the constituency’s interest but that of his godfather, Alh. Issa Afon.

“He performed woefully on the Assessment of Legislative Watch”

They added that he has no positive contribution to both the party members and the communities at large.

Speaking on the consequences of imposing delegates, the elders said that they want a Representatives who will represent them excellently in the Assembly

Speaking further, the stakeholders disclosed that Sulyman Olamilekan popularly known as Gadaff is their preferred candidate, considering his efforts in human and community developments

They however, pledged an unalloyed support for the reelection of Governor come 2023 general election.
