The former commissioner of finance in Kwara state, Honorable Nurudeen Ademola Banu has expressed optimism of victory for people’s democratic party, PDP ahead of 2023 general elections as he played host to Ajase ward1 Meetings of the party over thr weekend .

The meeting which was the first outing of the party this year recorded humongous turn outs of party’s faithfuls across Ajase-Ipo, admirers as well as fulani and Batunu settlers who trooped out enmass to identify with the party .

Speaking at the meetings , Banu expressed joy at the massive turnouts noting that such presence of Ajase-ipo people indicates people have realised that PDP era cannot be compared to the current regime which has increased hardship and plundered the state into financial wreck

He added that if they can sustain such a high level of commitment, the party will definitely record victory in the 2023 General Election . He noted that ‘the party is good to go’.

“Only the party members are here and we have come out in large numbers, we are yet to talk about artisans, party sympathizers and others, if we can remain truly committed to the party, victory is definitely assured ‘ he said.

Some of the attendees who talked at the meetings praised Ademola Banu for his consistency and leadership for Ajase PDP. They equally promised to ensure PDP coast to victory so as to reciprocate his gesture toward people of Ajase and the community .

Meanwhile , Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate , Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdulahi , submitted on Saturday that his getting party nomination about five months ago, had helped to rubbish insinuations and the rumours spread in respect of how things are done in the state PDP under former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s leadership.

Yaman, who got deafening cheers on arrival at the venue of the Ward meting, added that this development had helped in saving Saraki from the attempts made to blacken his image.

This medium learned Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdulahi , who said this during the PDP Ajase Ward 1 meeting in Ajase-Ipo , Irepodun local government, urged party members and supporters to ensure that all the candidates of the party record victory in the upcoming 2023 general election while promising good governance if elected as governor.

Kwara South PDP Senate candidate, Chief Rafiu Ibrahim, called PDP light and asked those still in other political parties to move to the party without delay submitting that God will never allow darkness in the state again.

‘One of those who were used to promote lies were my brother, Kayode Ogunlowo , who God has opened his mind to see the light because of his intention for Kwara state and he has cone out to say all that were promoted then are lies so whoever still remains in those parties know that they are simply marketing lies- he said.

A popular social commentator and a politician, Mr. Kayode Ogunlowo, who was attending the PDP Ajase Ward 1 meeting for the first time, also formally defected from APC to the PDP.
