The Minister of Defence, Muhammad Badaru, has urged Nigerians to provide vital intelligence to security agencies to strengthen national security.
Badaru made the appeal on Sunday while addressing journalists at a citizens’ engagement programme organised by the Jigawa State Government in the Birnin Kudu Local Government Area.
He stressed that intelligence sharing remains crucial to tackling insecurity, noting that security situation has improved under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
“The fight against insecurity is a collective responsibility. By sharing intelligence with security agencies, Nigerians can play a vital role in preventing and combating crime,” he said.
The minister reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting troops at the frontline, assuring all that efforts were ongoing to ensure lasting peace and stability.
