Community Holds Prayer for Dr Isiaka Abdulgafar’s PhD Attainment

In a heartwarming display of happiness, friends, family, and well-wishers gathered at Amura Compound in Akodudu Area, Ilorin, on Saturday to celebrate the PhD attainment of Dr. Isiaka Abdulgafar.

The prayer and thanksgiving ceremony held in Dr Abdulgafar’s honour was a joyous occasion that brought together people from all walks of life to felicitate him

The guest lecturer and renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Lukman Isalekoto, emphasized the significance of seeking knowledge in Islam and applying it positively in daily life.

Sheikh Lukman stressed that the pursuit of knowledge is a fundamental aspect of the Islamic faith and that Muslims have a responsibility to acquire knowledge and utilize it for the betterment of society.

He commended Dr Abdulgafar on his achievement and encouraged the audience to strive for knowledge and to put it to good use, citing the Quranic verse that says, “Are those.

The celebrant, who was awarded a prize for the best PhD student with the best thesis in counselling, describes the feat as a testament to his hard work, dedication, and perseverance.

His great achievement, which was seen as a milestone not only for the celebrant but also for the entire community, serves as an inspiration to young people to pursue their academic dreams.

The Dean, of Graduate School, University of Kigali, Rwanda Prof. Abdulrazaq Oniye described the feat as a result of hard work, commitment and dedication while describing the celebrant as a promising scholar and encouraging the general public to seek counselling when the need arises

The event was marked by prayers, thanksgiving, and congratulatory messages from dignitaries and guests, who praised Dr. Abdulgafar’s achievement and encouraged him to continue making meaningful contributions to society.
