The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has given the troops one month to crush bandit leaders such as Bello Turji, among other kingpins.
Addressing the troops of Operation Fansan Yamma in Gusau on Thursday, the Army Chief said, the mandate must be carried out within one month in order to restore peace for the development of the Northwest zone in particular and Nigeria in general.
The visit of the Chief Army of Staff to Zamfara State to address the troops in the ongoing onslaught against terrorists was the first of its kind since he assumed duty.
Gen. Oluyede commended the troops for neutralising several bandit kingpins in the state and urged them to redouble their efforts to eliminate other high-profile criminals and other terrorists in order to restore order, stability and peace to pave way for development across the Northwest region in particular and the country in general.
