CIOTA, LASTMA to collaborate on road safety advocacy

LASTMAN GM appreciated the effort of CIOTA on the road safety campaign

 

The Registrar, Chartered Institute of Transport Administration (CIOTA), Mr Rasheed Ayelabegan, on Monday, 24th October, paid a working visit to the headquarters of Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) as part of the advocacy and membership enrolment drive of the institute.

The GM of LASTMA, Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, in his welcome speech, appreciated the effort of CIOTA on the road safety awareness campaign, as well as, several training programs embarked upon by the institute. He promised to create more awareness of the institute among his staff and that he would ensure their prompt enrolment.

The GM had earlier submitted his completed membership enrolment form to the Registrar. Mr. Oreagba also received an invitation to attend the 4th NATS, coming up later in the year. The Registrar also requested a nomination of participants from his office. Mr. Oreagba promised to select some staff to attend the summit.

The highlight of the working visit was the appointment of Com. Prince Oredugba, as a contact person between the LASTMA staff and CIOTA. The visit ended with a group photograph by the Registrar, CIOTA Liaison Officer, and GM LASTMAN.
