While presenting the new equipment, Dr.Abdulraheem Malik, Executive Secretary, of Kwara State Hospital Management Board.
Haematology analyzers are used to conduct a complete blood count (CBC), which is usually the first test requested by physicians to determine a patient’s general health status.
A complete blood count includes red blood cell (RBC), white blood cell (WBC), haemoglobin, and platelet counts, as well as hematocrit levels.
“This modern equipment will go a long way in improving our laboratory services and overall service delivery at the hospital.
We will continue to make maximum use of the limited resources available to us as instructed by His Excellency to keep improving our healthcare delivery system from one hospital to the other” he said
