The Founder of the Giwa Foundation and Executive Director (Finance) of GUAB Integrated Global Enterprises, Hon. Muzemil Kehinde Giwa (popularly known as GMK), has been turbaned as the Amirush-Shabab (Leader of the Youth) of Offa by the Chief Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muhyidin Salman Hussein Al-Imam, during this year’s Maolud Nabiyy Baami Imam Agba Offa 2025 celebration.
The colourful turbaning ceremony, which held on Saturday, was witnessed by prominent Islamic scholars, community leaders, political figures, and hundreds of youths from across Offa, Kwara State and beyond.
Sheikh Muhyidin Salman, who was assisted by his deputy, Ash-Shaykh Qāsim Olatunji Baba Al-Markaz (Naibi Agba of Offa) during the turbaning described Giwa’s appointment as a recognition of his “exceptional contributions to youth development, philanthropy, and steadfast service to Islam.”
The Chief Imam charged the newly turbaned Amirush-Shabab to use his influence to promote unity, moral discipline, and community progress among the youth in Offa and beyond.
In his remarks, Giwa expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the honour, while pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He thanked the Chief Imam and the Muslim community for the recognition, promising to continue supporting developmental and humanitarian causes in Offa.
He also extended appreciation to individuals and groups who stood by him, including Alhaji Saad Tunde, Alhaji Mudashir Saad, Sanjay Olohun Toyin, Alhaji Sulaiman Saikai, Mr. Ismail Small, Mr. Wale Fajenyo, Mr. Folawiyo, Alhaji Alasinrin, Mr. Dagbo Ismail, Mr. Lekan Baba Ijebu, Alhaji Nagode, Alhaji Bayo Decency, Engr. Abdulrafiu, Alhaji Hassan Alaya, Lekan Survivor, Mr. Oba Sulaiman, Mr. Shuaib Owoyale, Alhaji Horse Motor, Otunba Ahmed Gegele, Mr. Dayo Gegele, Mr. Bolakale Keke Napep, Mr. Wole, Miss Mariam Omobanke, Mr. Lateef Sanni, Mr. Kehinde Bello, and Offa Local Government Chairman, Hon. Sulaiman Olatunji Laaro (Omituntun), alongside councillors, political appointees, and other APC stakeholders in Kwara.
He also acknowledged the support of his family, especially the Giwa Family of Offa, and reaffirmed his commitment to empowering young people through education, entrepreneurship, and faith-based mentorship.
Giwa, who is also the CEO of MGee Integrated Global Enterprise, has been widely celebrated for his consistent youth empowerment initiatives and his foundation’s role in promoting social welfare within and outside Offa.
The event added another feather to his cap as a respected community leader and symbol of youthful excellence in Offa
