The Chairman Governing Board, National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa has earned a Doctoral Degree in International Relations from Lead City University, Ibadan.
Hon Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa joined other graduands including undergraduates at Convocation Ceremony held at Adeline Hall, Lead City University, Ibadan on Monday, December 12, 2022.
The Astute Business Entrepreneur and Politician completed his rigorous doctoral research recently to cap academic attainment. He holds a degree in Zoology, Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism and a Master’s in International Relations.
Bolarinwa, fondly called BOB by his admirers served as a Councillor, Mainland Local Government Chairman and Member representing Mainland Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives before returning to Kwara State to the political space. He led Kwara APC to total victory during the 2019 general elections as State Party Chairman.
He was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari in March, as chairman of the reconstituted Governing Board of the National Broadcasting Commission.

While Social Democratic Party (SDP) Governorship Candidate in Kwara State, Alhaji Hakeem Lawal led other party stalwarts including his running mate, Reverend Joshua Olakunle; Kwara South Senatorial candidate, Professor Wale Suleiman; House of Representative candidate for Isin/Oke Ero/Ekiti/Irepodun federal constituency, Otunba Ganiyu Zubair and his counterpart for Offa/Oyun, Hon. Saheed Popoola.
Also in attendance were the Director General of the SDP Campaign Council, Hon Khaleel Bolaji; the Co-DG, Architect Kale Belgore; the Campaign Council Secretary, Dr Afolabi Abolaji and SDP Kwara House of Assembly candidates.
