The summit, themed “Community and Global Impact: Empowering Okelele Youth through Quality Education for Sustainable Development,” is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 15th October 2025, at Camics Event Hall, Sobi, Ilorin, Kwara State, by 10:00 a.m. prompt.
According to the organizers, the event is designed to identify, recognize, and reward outstanding students of Ibagun (Okelele) descent who have excelled academically and contributed meaningfully to societal growth. It will also serve as a strategic platform for dialogue among community leaders, educators, and youths to discuss pathways for achieving sustainable educational and socioeconomic development.
The summit will feature lectures, panel discussions, paper presentations, and interactive sessions, focusing on education, leadership, and youth empowerment. Selected top-performing graduates will also receive scholarship awards to support their postgraduate studies, as part of the Foundation’s effort to encourage academic advancement.
Distinguished personalities, including community elders, stakeholders, past and serving public office holders, and youth ambassadors from Ibagun (Okelele) and its environs, are expected to grace the occasion.
The CGR Educational Foundation emphasized that the initiative reflects its collective commitment to nurturing excellence, promoting inclusivity, and fostering sustainable development through education.
Members of the public, especially indigenes of Ibagun (Okelele) and the broader Ilorin Emirate, are cordially invited to participate in this historic educational gathering.
