The Authority of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), New Jerusalem Paris 9, Ilorin, Kwara State has suspended its member, Elder Debo Olupinsaiye from worshipping at the branch.
According to the suspension letter and communique of the minutes of the Elders and Parochial Committee signed by VMSE Adelabi, chairman II, SSE Kayode Fagunwa chairman III, Superior Senior Leader, Bisi Atolagbe, SSE Lawrence Bolaji, which was obtained by Just Event Online TV on Thursday, the affected elder Olupinsaiye is to embark on three months suspension with immediate effect.
The letter revealed that elder Olupinsaiye was suspended from all church activities including attendance of the said branch of the CCC at Oko Erin, Ilorin following his insubordination to the shepherd.
The meeting chaired by SSE Lawrence Bolaji, alongside no fewer than 40 elders of the church, upheld the suspension of elder Olupinsaiye having failed to tender apologies over his misdeeds to the congregation.
The letter posited that elder Olupinsaiye has failed to abide by the decision of the elders, the development that necessitated his suspension as member of the CCC New Jerusalem Paris 9, Oko Erin, Ilorin.
The letter further called on certain organs or agencies of the church to be aware of the elders’ decision suspending elder Olupinsaiye so that he’s treated as member of the said church till suspension lapses.
In a related development, the church elders have approached the commissioner of Police launching complaints of threat to life, Gross Misconduct , Defamation of character, Gross insubordination and disturbance in church Assembly against the suspended elder.
The church leadership unanimously agreed to this suspension following his continuous threat to life of some member of the church and Shepard of the church.
“We are writing to you because we have reason to believe that Elder Onipinsaye Debo may attempt to disregard this suspension and enter church premises, thereby constituting criminal trespass. Should he attempt to do so, we request your assistance in apprehending him to face the consequences of his actions.
“We understand the importance of maintaining order and preventing disruptions within our church community. Your cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated”.
Meanwhile, elder Olupinsaiye was sighted in a video clip speaking aloud against the shepherd, while few church members were appeasing him to calm down and deal with the issue maturely.
