CBN Naira Redesign Policy and agony of the masses, Basambo calls for Calm

The Labour Party (LP) Governorship Candidate
Kwara State, Basambo Abubakar Kabir has sympathised with Kwarans over the hardship due to naira scarcity

In a press release made available to Just Event Online on Thursday

Fellow Kwarans,

I bring you greetings from the heart of my heart, clearly sympathizing with you, esteemed Kwarans on the ongoing avoidable calamity confronting us today as a result of an ill-timed Currency Swap of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

I strongly wish to use this medium to appeal for Calm as the situation is been put under control.

At this critical time in our democratic journey, this is no time to start destroying public properties and engaging in a violent confrontation in the name of protest, but rather a time to come together to rescue our dear Kwara State from the hands of looters and formulators of anti-masses economic policy by voting them out, come February 25th and March 11th 2023.

To be honest, the past and current leaders of this State have criminally conspired to mortgage our future, thereby causing this excruciating pain to the masses.

It’s therefore a time to reignite our passions by voting en mass for all the candidates of the Labour Party so that Nigeria can be moved away from a consumption-based economy to a Production Economy.

We know the people that put us in this predicament and it will not be a wise decision to reward them by voting for them again.

Youths of this State are enjoined to come together to send the old order packing, let’s send a strong message through our fingers that we can now clearly distinguish between right and wrong.

The time to act is now as tomorrow is not assured.
