Buhari fought for Nigeria’s unity only ingrates won’t appreciate his efforts, says Yahaya Bello

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has said the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari was glaring that only ingrates will not appreciate the sacrifices and efforts the president has been making for the country

The governor noted that having fought for the unity of the nation, the president is actuated by nothing else than peace and unity of the country.

Bello stated this on Wednesday when he received traditional and political leaders from Daura and other parts of Katsina state at the Kogi state’s government lodge in Abuja.

The governor who described the president as the only Nigerian leader without a foreign account, property or company, assured that he would answer the call of Nigerians to succeed the president in 2023.

He said: “It will take an ingrate not to appreciate what President Buhari has been doing and is still doing for this country.

Buhari from history has been sacrificing and is still sacrificing for the unity, security, prosperity and for the emancipation of this country right from his days in the military and now as a civilian.

“The president’s interest is you and I. He is the only president that so far doesn’t have a foreign account, nor any house abroad, or companies anywhere rather than his Cattle. Even when he was on the sick bed, he wished Nigeria well,” Yahaya said.

He fought the civil war to keep the country together. He didn’t fight from his office but from the war front which means he was ready to sacrifice his life for the unity of the country.

This is a president that has never been found wanting to have touched one naira of Nigeria’s money and has been known to always allow the will of the people to prevail.

So the very least we as his disciples and ardent followers can do for him his to ensure that we do everything to support him to succeed.

“When Mr President succeeds, he is not succeeding for himself, his success is for Nigerians, whoever is wishing him to fail, is wishing Nigeria to fail. Very soon, I am going to answer the call of Nigerians to run for the presidency”.

The Kogi governor added: “I want to encourage us more to continue to do our best without any condition attached.

“So, based on that, if Nigerians are asking me to support Mr President or to succeed Mr President, I will never look sideways, I will be ready to serve in order to build on what the president has started, what he is doing and how he wishes Nigeria to be successful and prosperous.
