It’s a season of harvest for the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Kwara State, as the party received hundreds of new members in Oke-Ero Local Government yesterday.
The strong political leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekan ward Alh. Wahab Adeyemi (Baba Wahabi) led his family and hundreds of his supporters to the Young Progressives Party (YPP). The former Ex-Officio of PDP in the LG said, his decision was based on the need to support a new breed of politicians, to clear the mess in Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
“I am happy that the new generation of politicians is waking up, it’s just appropriate for us to support them. We are not happy with the mess we have found ourselves in today and only a new party with a clear ideology like this can rescue us”
“I want to be remembered for doing the right thing no matter how hard. I’m ready to guide the new breed of politicians to succeed”
The party also received the immediate past Special Assistant to the Kwara State, Deputy Speaker Comr. Femi Samuel Ajiboye.
Femi Ajiboye, a vibrant Comrade, who served as Secretary-General of the Kwara State Polytechnic Student Union Government, between 2014 and 2015 was the Admin Secretary of the Kwara Alliance for Buhari/Osinbajo and Secretary of Kwara Youth Stakeholders Forum (KYSF) from 2019 till date.
Ajiboye thanked Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Raphael Adetiba for the opportunity given to him to serve, he, however, said, his bold step is needed to answer the clarion call to join other like-minds to rescue his generation from incompetent leaders, monumental corruption, and poverty.
“This bold step is sacrosanct at this period that the youths are fully ready to take leadership from incompetent people. YPP is the best alternative party, populated with vibrant youths with great ideas, integrity, and the capacity to tackle monumental corruption in the system and end poverty.
He sighted the YPP State Chairman as an example of a dedicated young person, who is doing everything in his community, State and Nigeria to make life better for his fellow youths and society in general.
Receiving the decamped, the State Chairman of the Young Progressives Party, Mr. Charles Olufemi Folayan assured all decampees that YPP would continue to be fair to all and would always give a leveled playground for both the old and new members of the party. He urged other youths to take bold steps and join the party where their future is secured and assured.
I am aspiring for the position of Local government coordinator of Patigi local government
