The Students Union Government of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin has announced plans to hold a one-day protest on July 20, 2022, to demand the end of the strike of the Kwara State Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (KWCOEASU)
In a flier made available to Just Event Online TV on Monday by the SUG President of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, Comrade Abdullah Nurudeen aka Calculator was titled ” END COEASU STRIKE ”
The flier reads Education is not a privilege, it’s our right
According to the flier, the protest will take place within the campus of Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin by 9 am
It will be recalled, The Kwara State Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union KWCOEASU on Monday 6 June 2022 embarked on a strike over the Minimum wage, gazetting of 65 years retirement age, the humongous tax regime, and infrastructural decay in all Colleges of Education in Kwara state including CAILS did not receive any attention.
The association comprises four colleges of education which are owned by the Kwara State Government, Kwara State College of Education, Ilorin, College of Education, Oro, College of Education Technology, Lafiagi and Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin
