Comrade Abdulgafar Issa Arikewuyo, a student of the University of Ilorin, has been re-elected as the Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kwara State Joint Campus Council (JCC).
JUST EVENT ONLINE TV reports, In a closely contested election, Arikewuyo secured 19 votes to defeat his challenger, Abdulkadir Alasa, who garnered 12 votes.
The election result was officially announced by the Convention Chairman, Olakanmi Abdullateef Olawale, popularly known as Felepoly.
The convention was conducted peacefully, with a well-coordinated electoral process that reflected unity, maturity, and a deep sense of responsibility among the student leaders across various campuses.
Observers praised the conduct of the election as a model for student democracy.
