BREAKING: Agunjin Ward APC suspends Ward chairman, three other members

 

The ward Executives and Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Agunjin Ward of Ifelodun Local Government Area, on Sunday it has suspended four (4) members from All Progressives Congress in a bid to further galvanise, reposition and consolidate the success of the party in the ward and in preparation for coming to 2023 General Elections.

The suspended members are Mr Isa Afolayan, Ward Chairman; Engr. Jide Usman, Hon. Toyin Otolorin and Mr Toyin Abdullah.

Below are the allegations levelled against the suspended members

1. Embezzlement and Mismanagement of party funds by the Ward Chairman, Mr Isa Afolayan: The Ward Chairman has embezzled and in other circumstances mismanaged all funds that are due to the ward.

2. Ever since Mr Isa Afolayan, the Ward Chairman assumed duty, he has refused to call for party meetings and executive meetings, as he has been creating disharmony among ward executives and all party members in the ward.

3. The ward Chairman has assumed in recent times, an uncondescending approach in his behaviour and insubordination towards established organs of the party.
Recently, the Ward Chairman was engaged in a physical brawl with some party members in his community and he is notoriously painting the party in a bad light.

4. Anti-party Activities by the Trio of Engr. Jide Usman, Hon. Toyin Otolorin and Toyin Abdullahi:

A. The trio of Engr. Jide Usman, Hon. Toyin Otolorin and Toyin Abdullahi have been engaging in atrocious Anti-Party Activities and have resolved to destabilise the party before eventually switching allegiance to another party.

B. At a meeting that was held at Engr. Jide Usman residence in Ilorin along Kilanko Road, at two different instances with the duo of Toyin Otolorin and Toyin Abdullahi featuring prominently and more recently, on Saturday, July 16 2022, Engr. Jide Usman led other attendees to resolve that they would be working against the re-election of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Senator Oyelola Ashiru, Hon. Tajudeen Abioye and Hon. AGF Salahudeen while also destroying the structure of the party in the ward.

C. Hon. Toyin Otolorin is a Political Office holder who is serving as the TIC Secretary for Ifelodun Local Government Area and his penchant for campaigning for a particular candidate of another party who he considers as his mentor is alarming. It is more disturbing that he is currently deploying his social and financial capital toward supporting candidates of other parties.

4. Toyin Abdullahi who is the Assistant Secretary of the All Progressives Congress at the Local Government level has featured prominently in heralding and advocating for the destabilization of the party in the ward and he is currently campaigning against the candidates of the All Progressives Congress at different levels.
Intelligence further showed that Hon. Toyin Abdullahi has concluded plans to decamp from the All Progressives Congress for another party and in a bid to empower his new party, he is determined to weaken the All Progressives Congress in Agunjin Ward.

Considering all the aforementioned, the executives and the stakeholders of the party in the ward, in a bid to preserve the structure and organization subsequently resolved to suspend the four individuals.

Reacting to call from Just Event Online TV, the suspended Chairman of Agujin ward, Mr Isa Afolayan said he’s unaware of his suspension from the party
Speaking further, Mr Isa explained how he shared N200K given sent to the for the polling units after primaries, the Zonal excos remove their own and the money you to send it, I the Chairman was given 20K while my secretary was given 5K, the remaining money is 159K
We went to Oke-Ode to use POS to withdraw and 2K was charged, I sent 55K to some stakeholders in Ilorin and 100K was shared among five polling units in the ward, I even asked them to give Hausa community but they declined and I leave it to them, he said
