The efforts to strengthen the delivery capacity of Primary Healthcare Centres across Kwara Central gained an added impetus today as the Senator representing the senatorial district in the National Assembly, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe yet again extended the facilitation of medical equipment to Oke-Suna Primary Health Center, Zango Ward, Ilorin East LGA.
In a statement made available to Just Event Online by Bolaji Aladie the media aide to the Senator
This continuous intervention is in pursuit of the quest to elevate the standard of healthcare delivery and stamp out the barriers that limit access to quality and affordable health services.
Sen. Oloriegbe represented at the handing over of the items to the facility by his media aide, Bolaji Aladie, reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to people-centred representation that upholds the canons of equity and fairness which ultimately affords all constituents equitable access to dividends of democracy.
“We are determined in our resolve to deliver representation grounded on equity and fairness to provide opportunities for the people whose collective hankering for development inspired a drive that compels us to put our shoulder to the wheel and justify the clamour for positive change. This yearning has, to the glory of God, brought about the considerable feats we have been able to record in the last three years.
“Within Ilorin East alone, this is the fourth health facility to which we have facilitated equipment to boost the services available to our people. This is aside from other health and non-health related initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of the people that had been facilitated to enhance collective growth, with no vestige of undue preference for any particular section of the constituency.”
“From inception, we have been committed to providing equitable representation in a fashion that creates avenues for people to be gainfully engaged and become instruments of prosperity and development to Kwara Central and the state at large.
“We urge you to make judicious use of these items to achieve the purpose for which they were facilitated.”
The officer in charge of the clinic, Yusuf Aduke Salamat commended the Senator for finding their clinic worthy of benefitting from the gesture whilst giving assurance of proper usage to serve the patients.
“We feel happy that our clinic is also joining the long list of beneficiaries of this remarkable intervention from our Senator. We have been hearing about his strides from our colleagues in various health facilities, however, it had now reached our turn in Oke Sunnah, we can therefore give testimony to the uncommon gestures of Senator Oloriegbe. These items would not only give face-lift to our centre but will at the same time boost our service capacity as many of the existing items we have had broken down and were in a state of disrepair. We thank Dr Oloriegbe for using his representation to change the fortune of the health sector in the country as well as in Kwara Central. If others before him had been representing us this way, we would have improved beyond this level. We shall take good care of the items.”
The Chairman of the Oke-Sunnah Development Association, Mallam Uthman Shuaib on behalf of the community expresses appreciation to Oloriegbe for offering what he described as “outstanding services” to the people of Kwara Central. He expressed that posterity will never forget to reference the unique leadership of the lawmaker whilst praying to Allah to continue to put him in positions where he can serve humanity more.
