A former Chairman of Ilorin West, Honourable Ahmad Bayero today declares his intention to contest the House of Representatives seat to represent Asa/Ilorin West federal constituency in the National Assembly come 2023.
The declaration event which was held at his Baboko Ward of Ilorin West Local Government was witnessed by stakeholders and who is who in Baboko.
Bayero with his wealth of experience has been described as a leading candidate who has always been involved in the development of his immediate community.
While addressing his supporters, Bayero affirmed that he has a vision to offer service and collaborate with well meaning Kwarans to deliver true dividend of democracy to the good people of Asa and Ilorin West Local Governments. First of all, I will like to note that my constituency is probably the most backward and the most disadvantaged in this current dispensation. This is very disturbing because Ilorin West by default remains the leading local government in Kwara State in terms of everything. I wish to submit myself to relaunch and bring back the Glory of our great constituency.
Speaking about his chances, Hon. Ahmad Bayero said a lot has happened in the last three years; apart from the disappointing show of shame by the Otoge crusaders, it is unfortunate that our constituency cannot even boost of having a representative in the National Assembly. So, naturally, I want to believe that our people are yearning for a true representation come 2023. They are also tired of the promise and fail syndrome of the otoge people in government.
It is also important to let you know that some Otoge foot soldiers are here with us today and they have willingly declare support for this agenda. We are confident of victory by the Grace of God.
