Barrister Aiyelabegan pledged supports towards Maiden edition of Kwara State Para Athletics Championship, Chairman, Para Athletics Association, Kwara state sports commission, Barrister Aiyelabegan Lanre Abdulkadri as reaffirms is committment towards para Athletics development in the state which will commence 28 -29 August 2023
He gave the assurance during our virtual meeting with the board members, coaches and secretary, say’s “every necessary needed has being put in place through my hardworking Vic Chairman, Mallam Kehinde Onimago , who briefed me with daily activities put in place for the success of the Championship
This year maiden edition, is to prepare our athletes ahead of North Central para Athletics Championship, which will comes up later this year and also to keep our athletics in shape ahead of the upcoming Championship
The competition will gives our athletes an opportunity to compete within themselves and to participates in three major events, Javelin, shoutput and discus, over 30 athletes are expected to participate in the championship
We have a mutual relationship with sports Commission, which has gave us opportunity to tap knowledge from the leadership of the Commission, the executive chairman, coach Bolakale Mogaji Adisa who has changed the narrative of sports growth in the State
Therefore, I appeal to all the board members to work with Mallam Kehinde Onimago, the Vic Chairman of the association in order to achieve a successful championship
I charged all the participating athletes, to follow the rules and regulations of the championship, stay out of drugs and be a good ambassador during and after the competition
I appreciates kwara state government, the hardworking executive Governor, Chairman Governor’s forum, sports loving Governor, Mallam AbdulRasaq AbdulRahman, who has provided a sporting environment, in order to develop sports in kwara state
