Baboko Ward Youth Development Association (BAWAYODA) has announced the third edition of its Five-Aside Intra-Community Football Tournament, and this year, it’s proudly named after the Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate and its environs, Fadhilat (Dr.) Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Imam Soliu (OON).
in a press statement made available to Just Event Online TV on Tuesday morning by President of the association, Mr Akeem Arikewuyo Kawata he said The tournament, tagged “Imam Bashir Football Tournament (MBIS 2024),” promises to be a showcase of talent, unity, and community spirit.

The statement reads , This edition of the tournament is unique as it pays tribute to Chief Imam Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Imam Soliu, a figure of great significance in the Ilorin Emirate and its surroundings. Under the leadership of President Mr. Akeem Kawata Arikewuyo, ACA, BAWAYODA is set to bring the community together for an exciting display of football prowess.
Ten teams representing traditional rulers in various zones and impactful groups within the Baboko Community will compete in the tournament. The participating Football Clubs (FCs) include:
