The Association of Telephones, Cable TV and Internet Subscribers of Nigeria (ATCIS) has welcomed the appointment of Obafemi Banigbe as the new CEO/MD of 9mobile Network Operator, along with three other executives: John Vasikiran as CCOO, Abolaji Idowu as CFO, and Ayodeji Adedeji as CTIO.
ATCIS National President, Hon. ‘Shina Bilesanmi, congratulated the new team on behalf of over 223 million telecom subscribers across Nigeria. He expressed optimism about the team’s ability to deliver quality service and promote mutual co-existence, fair play, and defend subscribers’ rights.

Bilesanmi emphasized the importance of collaboration between ATCIS and the new 9mobile team, urging them to respect subscribers, engage with ATCIS, and utilize their media platforms to educate subscribers about their rights.
The new CEO, Obafemi Banigbe, brings over 24 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked in various capacities across Africa. His appointment has been ratified to lead the company through its transition phase and drive recovery.
