The Association of Telephones, Cable TV and Internet Subscribers of Nigeria (ATCIS) has given the Inspector General of Police (IGP) 72 hours to produce the Lagos police officers responsible for brutalizing citizens.
This ultimatum was issued during an interview program on national television and radio stations.
ATCIS, a consumer advocacy body with over 223 million members across 36 states, has spent over N832 million on advocating for citizens’ rights. The body has also secured employment opportunities for its members and has been featured in over 1001 newspaper publications and 20 national television and radio stations.
The National President, Hon. ‘Sina Bilesanmi, confirmed the police brutality scenario and urged the IGP to take action. ATCIS has achieved 345 successful programs and reforms, and is committed to protecting the rights of telephone, cable TV, and internet subscribers across Nigeria.
