ATCIS Congratulates A.O. Ajayi on Appointment as DSS DG, Thanks President Tinubu

The Association of Telephones, Cable TV, and Internet Subscribers of Nigeria (ATCIS), the leading telecom subscriber advocacy group in the country, has extended its congratulations to Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi on his appointment as the new Director General of the State Security Services (DSS) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement signed by Hon. Sina Bilesanmi, the National President of ATCIS-Nigeria, and released through Executive Secretary Bayo Onanuga, the association praised Ajayi’s rise through the ranks of the DSS, describing him as a “round peg in a round hole” who would significantly bolster the nation’s security architecture.

“ATCIS and the good people of Ogun State congratulate one of our illustrious members, Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi, on his well-deserved appointment. His extensive experience in intelligence gathering and national security, coupled with his leadership skills, makes him an ideal choice to lead the DSS,” the statement read.

ATCIS also commended President Tinubu for his ability to identify and appoint capable leaders, emphasizing that Ajayi’s appointment reflects his operational efficiency and dedication to national service.

As a telecom advocacy group representing over 220 million subscribers across Nigeria’s 36 states, ATCIS reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for fair pricing, quality service, and the protection of subscribers’ rights in the telecom sector.

With a history of robust advocacy, including investing over N850 million in defending citizens’ rights, securing employment opportunities for members, and achieving significant reforms, ATCIS highlighted its ongoing efforts to ensure that the rights of telecom subscribers are upheld.

The association concluded by expressing confidence in Ajayi’s ability to enhance Nigeria’s security landscape, citing his proven expertise as a seasoned professional in intelligence operations.
