The Association of Telephones, Cable TV, and Internet Subscribers of Nigeria (ATCIS) has advised telecom subscribers to monitor their tariff rates following a denied report of a hike in tariff rate plans by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

According to Hon. Sina Bilesanmi, National President of ATCIS, “NCC has denied approving a tariff hike of N140/k/sec. We urge subscribers to report any unusual changes in their tariff rates to ATCIS via WhatsApp with screenshot proof.”

This announcement comes after ATCIS concluded its Founder’s Day activities, which included visits to pioneer members, open discussions, live interviews, food distribution, and sponsorship of recharge cards and cash prizes.

ATCIS has a history of advocating for citizens’ rights, spending over N840 million on this cause. The organization has secured employment opportunities for its members, featured in over 1010 newspaper publications, and achieved 348 successful programs and reforms.
