In keeping faith with my desire to seek re-election and serve our people, I aspired to fly the flag of our great party, All Progressive Congress, in the 2023 Kwara State House of Assembly election for Ilorin East Constituency.
I traversed the length and breadth of Ilorin East Local Government, consulting and seeking the support of Leaders and party stakeholders. I believed as I still do, that I am qualified to represent our constituency.
I congratulate first, the winner of the primary election Hajia Arinola Fatimoh Lawal and I wish her success in the 2023 general election.
The primary election having been won and lost, it is still expedient that I address and appreciate my friends, brothers and teeming supporters (politicians and non-politicians) and members of our great party in Ilorin East Local Government; the enthusiasm and love shown are immense, overwhelming and unimaginable; I’m eternally grateful for it.
I also urge my ardent supporters, who strongly believe in our capacity and capabilities to deliver, to keep the faith and peace as we stay committed to the ethos and work for the success of Governor AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, Hajia Arionla Fatimoh Lawal and our great party, the APC to win in the forthcoming elections.
This contest may not have gone our way, but we remain resolute and do not derail from the track to political emancipation of our people and our undying spirit will deliver success to us in the future if we do not waiver.
I remain resolute in my commitment to community and Nation-building, Youth empowerment and development, ethical politics devoid of bad blood and good governance.
