The KPMO State Chairman, Usman Lade made this known while speaking with journalists in Ilorin the state capital, said Our message is simple today, As the National Convention is fast approaching, the Kwara Progressive Media Organization (KPMO) is committed to assuring our teeming APC members across the state and beyond that, we shall continue to uphold the ideologies of our great party in the course of seeking for our rightful place in the party through constructive engagement with important stakeholders and to also improve the promotion of youth interests and gender inclusion across all levels of the party.
In his speech, Lade said as an organization within the All Progressives Congress (Kwara State Chapter), we seize this opportunity to reiterate our support and commitment for the administration of Governor of Kwara State, H.E. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq; Kwara APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, and the entire structure of Kwara State APC.
However, ahead of the national convention of the All Progressives Congress ( APC), which has been slated for March 26, 2022, the Kwara Progressive Media Organization and other progressive groups in the state have agreed to collectively support the aspiration of Mr. Dada Olusegun to become the next National Youth leader of our great party, All Progressive Congress.
Lade speaking further, Our choice of endorsement of Dada Olusegun as the National Youth Leader of APC is borne out of his loyalty to the party and his antecedent in carrying out different party assignments diligently at various levels since the formation of the party in 2013. Between 2013 and now, Dada Olusegun has demonstrated commitment to the project APC at all levels. He has the required competence to lead the youth in our great party.
His proven intelligence on youth engagement and activities confirms his well thorough-driven process of party administration, Dada over time has been an active voice in advocating youth participation and inclusion. He is one of the products of the Progressives ideology whose ability, capacity, and sagacity must be utilized towards strengthening the youth demography of our party.
However, Lade said, it is worthy of note that Dada Olusegun is not new to us in Kwara as he has always been a friend of the Kwara Progressive fold; he supported Kwara APC during the electioneering offline and online. He was one of the leading voices on digital media helping to shape opinion in favor of the OTOGE campaign that ushered in the administration of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq; this means, our decision to support his candidacy should be seen as a determined effort to compliment and actualize the reward for loyalty, hard work, and dedication exhibited by Dada Olusegun in the Kwara Progressive family over the years.
This endorsement amongst other activities within the party will further strengthen and deepen the inclusion of Kwara Youths in the programs of the All Progressive Congress at the State and importantly at the National Level.
We are overwhelmed by the fierce support to Dada Olusegun whose entry into the race has virtually changed the dynamics of the contest judging by the huge confidence and backing that his candidacy has garnered in the preliminary weeks of our youth-driven and inclusive campaign across the country.
At this juncture, kindly permit us to remind the entire Nigerian Youth who are yet to get their PVCs should do so at any of the INEC registration centers close to them. This will encourage youth participation and inclusion in key decision-making in the Democratic process of Nigeria
In the same vein, we commend the leadership of our great party under the leadership of Governor of Yobe State and the Chairman CCEPC, HE Mallam Mai Mala Buni for his role in uniting the party across various states of the Federation, the effort which was evident in the just concluded bye-elections won by the party in Ondo, Imo and Plateau States.
Accordingly, we seize this opportunity to congratulate our leader and the Governor of Kwara State over his appointment as the Head of an 8-Member APC Zoning Committee by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) and Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency, Mai Mala Buni, for the forthcoming National Convention.
Finally, we wish to appeal to the former Governor of Lagos State and National Leader of our party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, the State Party Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, and the leadership of APC in South-West to complement our position by adopting Dada Olusegun as the consensus candidate to be adopted and inaugurated as the National Youth Leader of our dear party in the forthcoming convention.
