The All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara South Focus Group on Friday held its inaugural meeting at the residence of Hon. Razaq Olatunde Owolabi in CBN Quarters, Agba Dam, Ilorin, with a strong message that the unity and progress of Kwara South Senatorial District remain non-negotiable.
Just Event Online TV reports that in his opening remarks, the Convener, Hon. Razaq Olatunde Owolabi, who represents Share/Oke Ode Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, welcomed members drawn from the seven local government areas that make up the senatorial district.

He explained that the group was established to promote development, inclusiveness, and unity among political stakeholders in Kwara South.
“We are APC, and we are progressives. This group is not against anyone; our goal is to work collectively for the growth of our district,” Owolabi said.
He commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his insightful leadership and developmental strides across the state and also applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his Renewed Hope Agenda, which he said is restoring confidence among Nigerians.
In his remarks, Hon. Dele Abiodun emphasized that the group’s focus goes beyond politics, saying,
“This is not about campaigns or criticism. It’s about progress, unity, and development. We must always think of Kwara South first and strive to make lasting impacts.”
Also speaking, Hon. Kehinde, former TIC Chairman of Ekiti Local Government, expressed readiness to spread the group’s message to all communities within the senatorial district.

On his part, Rt. Hon. Raphael Adetiba, former Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, described the meeting as timely and necessary, pledging his full support for its success.
Similarly, Mr Olufimosho Dare from Offa commended the convener for his vision and commitment, describing the gathering as a step toward building a stronger and more united Kwara South.
The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge from members to work together for peace, progress, and sustainable development across the senatorial district.
According to the group, a communiqué outlining the resolutions of the meeting will be released soon for public consumption.
