Ex-international and FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning coach Emmanuel Amuneke has been unveiled as the new coach of Heartland ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Amuneke was unveiled by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, at the new executive chamber of the Government House, Owerri, on Monday.
His appointment comes after working with the club in the capacity of a consultant and having taken charge of the former Nigerian champions’ open screening last month.
Before taking the job, the former Nigeria forward was linked with the Super Eagles job, which was eventually handed to new Rivers United coach, Finidi George.
