A frontline politician and 2027 House of Representatives aspirant, Amofin Titilope Akogun, has paid an emotional tribute to the late Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim on the occasion of his posthumous birthday.
In a heartfelt message made available to Just Event OnlineTV, Akogun described the late lawmaker as a rare leader whose life was marked by service, humility, and exceptional dedication to the development of Kwara South.
“Today, I join family, friends, and well-wishers in celebrating the posthumous birthday of Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim,” he wrote. “You brought me into the PDP, appointed me your Kwara South Ambassador, and convinced me of your leadership and mentorship. You did your very best and left this world after a life devoted to impact.”
Akogun praised Senator Ibrahim as a philanthropist per excellence, a builder of men, a passionate lover of Kwara South, and a steadfast pillar of the Saraki political family, noting that his footprints remain indelible in the socio-political landscape of the state.
He added that although his heart remains heavy, he is comforted by the belief that the late senator continues to rest peacefully.
“Your legacy lives on, your good works remain, and your impact continues to inspire. Rest on, distinguished senator. You are forever remembered,” he concluded.
Senator Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, PhD, FCIB, represented Kwara South in the 8th Senate before his passing in 2023.
