True to his reputation as a promise keeper, Amofin Akogun has once again demonstrated his unwavering commitment to grassroots empowerment by fulfilling his pledge to beneficiaries in Oke Ero Local Government Area through the distribution of 15 POS terminals and ₦25,000 start-up grants to selected individuals.
The initiative, implemented under the BTA Foundation, marks another milestone in Amofin Akogun’s sustained efforts to promote financial inclusion, youth empowerment, and micro-enterprise growth across Kwara South.
Beneficiaries in Oke Ero expressed deep appreciation, describing the gesture as timely and impactful. Many said the support would help them launch or expand their small businesses and earn sustainable incomes through digital financial services.
Each beneficiary received a Moniepoint POS terminal alongside a ₦25,000 start-up capital, designed to strengthen their participation in the local economy and reduce youth unemployment.
Represented by Mrs. C.K. Oguntoye, Amofin Akogun reaffirmed his dedication to practical empowerment and community development.
“Our goal is simple — to empower our people with tools, not just talk. We are building businesses, not just giving handouts,” he stated.
The successful exercise in Oke Ero follows similar interventions in Ekiti and Isin Local Governments, with the grand finale scheduled to take place in Irepodun LGA.
The initiative underscores Amofin Akogun’s philosophy of sustainable empowerment, ensuring that individuals are equipped with the means to become self-reliant and productive members of society.
As the saying goes, “Promises are only as good as the people who keep them,” and once again, Amofin Akogun has proven that his word is his bond.
