Today marks a significant milestone in advancing military education in Nigeria. During the House of Representatives plenary session, Hon. Ahmed Yinka Aluko (PhD), representing Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, introduced a pioneering bill titled:
“A Bill for an Act to Establish the Nigerian Army College of Education, Ilorin, and for Other Related Matters 2024.”
This bill had its first reading on the House floor, initiating the legislative process to create a specialized institution for military education in Ilorin.
The introduction of this bill underscores a commitment to enhancing our military’s educational infrastructure and investing in the professional development of our armed forces.
The bill will proceed through further readings, committee reviews, and debates before a final vote. If passed, it will also enhance the security and safety of lives in Kwara State, the North-Central region, and Nigeria as a whole.
