Saturday, November 23, 2024 will continue to resonate in the minds of many Kwarans and Nigerians as a whole, as tributes continue to pour in from prominent personalities in celebration of the 59th birthday of the Speaker of the 8th Kwara State House of Assembly, Prof. Ali Ahmad.

Professor Ali Ahmad, who is a legal luminary, public administrator, and philanthropist par excellence, impacts cut across all the spectrum of the society -thus earning him a worldwide recognition, especially on his 59th birthday.

To many, the occasion of his birthday was an opportunity to thank him for his magnanimity and also remind the world of his indelible mark in public service while others choose to appreciate his outstanding contributions to the development of the society.

His party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in a press statement duly signed by the Kwara State PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Adewara Olusola described the Professor of law and legislative studies as a “symbol of loyalty, integrity and unwavering commitment to the ideals of the PDP and the Saraki political family.”

For Engineer Kawu Agaka, the Dan Iya Geri of Ilorin Emirate, he noted that the experienced lawmaker, who exemplifies utmost dedication to public service “has left an indelible make on the legal reforms in Nigeria, contributing significantly to the advancement of democracy, rule of law and good governance.”

Another prominent Nigerian, who is also the Wakilin Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate, Honourable Mashood Mustapha described the celebrant “as a beacon of hope and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him long life and prosperity in service to humanity.”

The National President of JETCOSA, Alhaji Saidu Alaya, saluted the celebrant “for empowering young minds in the state and championing inclusive governance.”

The Press Officer on Local Matters to Distinguished Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki Media Office, Abdulganiyu Abdul lauded “the celebrants’ commitment to project Kwara and his selfless service.”

Also in a statement signed by the President of Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA), Alhaji Mohammed Uthman Jagunmo, notes the ability of Professor Ali Ahmad in connecting with people from all walks of life without any biases or sentiments. The community youth based group, therefore, “prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to bless him with good health, wisdom and strength to keep serving humanity.

In another outpouring felicitation messages, his foundation members under the banner of The Ali Ahmad Foundation (TAAF), joins millions of wellwishers in celebrating their founder, asking Allah to strengthen him and grant his innermost heartdesires.

The Founder and Chairman of KAB Construction Limited and Chairman Of Kehinde Alex Bankole Foundation, Dr. Kehinde Alex Bankole (KAB) extended his warmest birthday greetings to the academic University don, saying that “his remarkable contributions to academia and politics have left an indelible mark on our society.”

Family, friends, wellwishers, and associates have also taken turns to celebrate the endearing personality of Professor Ali Ahmad on his 59th birthday.

This moment, by extension, reminds generous personalities in the society of how impactful and deep rooted, the former lawmaker has been in all indications.

For many, the speaker of the 8th Kwara State of Assembly remains an asset not just to Kwara State but Nigeria as a whole.

The academia-turned-politician has by all indices implanted his legacy across all the sectors of the society and one can only wish him a long life and prosperity as he continues to avail himself to the development of his immediate community and Nigeria as a whole through impactful endeavours.

Meanwhile, to commemorate his 59th birthday and in celebration of his immense contributions towards Islamic teachings, the Islamic-based organisation, Abu Sheriff International Islamic Dawah Organisation has confered the title of “Sarki Malami Asiido Worldwide” on the celebrant whose imprints in the Islamic community knows no bound.

The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Sobi101.9FM, Mal. Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha (LOM), congratulated Prof. Ali Ahmad on his 59th birthday anniversary, praising him as an excellent academic, compassionate leader, and inspiration to all who know him. Mustapha noted Prof. Ahmad’s remarkable contributions to academia, governance, and the legal profession, reflecting his dedication to excellence and integrity.

The award ceremony holds today, Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the 46th Anniversary & Merit and Award Celebration organised by the Abu Sheriff International Islamic Dawah Organisation.
