AGF seeks lawyers support on anti-graft war, judicial reforms

 

 

The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, has called on lawyers in the country to give him the needed backing to succeed on his job.

According to him, the Tinubu administration is determined to wage war against corruption and reform the judiciary.

The AGF who admitted that the task ahead was difficult, urged legal practitioners to give him the needed support.

Fagbemi spoke at the annual reunion and award ceremony of the Class of ’85’ of the Nigerian Law School in Abuja on Tuesday.

He, however, promised not to let legal practitioners and the nation down.

Fagbemi said, “On my new appointment, I want to solicit for your support, prayers and advice in ensuring that we succeed in the task ahead. The tasks are by no means easy.

“We have a lot of work to do in the war against corruption, in the reforms of legal education, in the judiciary and in the administration of justice generally.
