This man here made so much SACRIFICES. Too numerous to mention. He denied himself luxuries so his children could have a meaningful life.
In a world where some fathers would rather choose to live a life of “kii omo to je ogun, ma je ogbon”, M.B Lawal(as fondly called) choose to be exceptional.
I grew up in an environment where lots of children envied us. Not because my dad had so much but because he gave everything he had . I can’t remember the number of times my dad changed his wardrobe. He made us his priority.
I remember when my younger brother was to travel to the UK for his masters, he did what he has never done. He said” if I will have to do this for once, so be it”. My brother and I shed tears when we left that day and we said to ourselves that if it means sacrificing the most precious thing to us, Daddy must have a good life(in Shaa Allah).
His name, I carry with so much pride. Yes, I am M.B Lawal’s first daughter so no one would steal that title from me.
He can never bear to see any of his children in pains. One of my Secondary School teachers did and till my brother and I finished secondary school, he never tried it again.
I want to take a moment to celebrate you like we always do Daddy. Words can never explain how you mean to my Siblings and I. We love you, we adore you, we cherish you.
One day, just one day, I pray we are able to repay a little of the Sacrifices coz truly we can’t even repay half of it.
HAPPY FATHERS DAY Daddy. We love you
