The University of Maiduguri Alumni Association, Kwara Chapter has rejoiced with one of her members, Abdul Tope Nimat on her book launch held yesterday at the College of Education, Ilorin Hall 2.
The launching ceremony which was well attended, drew dignitaries from all walks of life, including members of academics, politicians, print media, professionals and media houses.
The Abrupt, according to its author, is a poetry work that evokes a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience through language chosen and arranged for its meaning, sound and rhythm.
In a statement authorized by the Chairman of the Alumni Association, Lawal Olohungbebe, which made available to the media by the association Publicity Secretary Edun AbdulMalik, the Association congratulates Tope Abdul on the successful launching of the book and charges her never to rest on her roar in order to record more successes.
Having gone through a copy of the book “The Abrupt” Tope has really done well and I hope she increases the tempo so as she becomes one of the best writers in the World, said Olohungbebe.
He concluded by appreciating other members of the association for their support during the book launch and enjoined them to remain supportive towards the success of every member.
