The economist and former Minister of Finance, Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, was appointed Transitional Prime Minister this Monday, August 7, 2023 by decree signed by the President of the National Council for the Safeguarding of the Motherland (CNSP). At the age of 58, this native of Zinder is currently the Representative of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Ndjamena, Chad, after having served the same institution and in the same position in Côte d’Ivoire and Gabon.
