The Vigilante Group of Nigeria Kwara Command on Saturday appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to sigh VGN bill into law since it was passed to the Presidency by the 9th Assembly.
Speaking at the Metropolitan Square, Ilorin during the 2nd Annual Vigilante Group of Nigeria Day, Deputy State Commander, Hon. Busari Omo-Ola Tajudeen promised Nigerians to ensure maximum security as they are the closest to the grassroots
Tajudeen posited that the group has performed well in the areas of orientation by given members enough training in both private and government institutions.
He said the group has performed in crime control, added that it has compliment the effort of the policemen by arresting about twenty five kidnappers in Ekiti LGAs of the State and also in Isin LG.
“In Isin LG, many kidnappers was arrested and hand over to the police at early April 2022 at Omu-Aran”
He ccommended Kwara State Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq for prompt payment of their salary.
Speaking further, he appreciated the President of the 8th Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki who provided them with logistics, gadgets and financial backup when he was the state governor.
He also commended the effort of the former Gov of the state, Late Mohammed Alabi Lawal who approved payment of their subvention during his tenure.
While speaking with Just Event Online, the State Commandant, Alh. AbdulRaheem Jimoh Serikin Daji said appreciated the Emir of Ilorin, Alh. Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, other sister agencies and others who present on the occasion.
SSA Security to the Governor, Alh. Muyideen Aliyu lauded the gov for taken security matters a priority added that the peace in Kwara will be maintained to ensure Kwarans have enabling environment to develop themselves.
Also, AbdulRazaq Abiodun Lawal posited that the Vigilantes should be empowered based on the present insecurity in the country as they know the terrain added that it will reduce the criminality in the country, as he promised to take care of them when elected in 2023.
Why I’m contesting is that I want my people to be liberated from the hardship they are and to ensure that life and property are secured, he added.
