2023: MAAUF sensitize members, seek support for Gov Abdulrazaq’s second term bid

The Moro AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Unity Forum (MAAUF) on Saturday held its third major political epochal event, with APC members from the seventeen wards in the Moro Local Government Area in attendance.

The program, which was meant to sensitize and mobilize APC members in Moro local government area was held at the Pilot Secondary School, Boode Saadu headquarters of Moro LG

The Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Prince Sunday Fagbemi while receiving some decampees from the leading opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party noted that there is a level playing field for all members of the party, both new and existing ones.

Prince Fagbemi, preached peace and fairness among the members, noting that the epochal event has established unity in the local government.

Former Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Mathew Okedare who defected from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in his address congratulated Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on the incomparable achievement he has recorded in the last 3 years.

“On behalf of the entire Jebba people, we want to appreciate your Excellency, particularly on the ongoing Jebba water project which has reached 85% completion, and other people-oriented projects in Moro LGA – Former Deputy Speaker, Hon. Mathew Okedare at the All Progressives Congress, APC Moro AA Unity Forum Meeting/Rally,” he said.

Speaking earlier, the leader of the Moro AA Unity Forum, MAAUF, Chief Wole Oke in his speech said the group has formally announced and declared their unalloyed support for the second term tenure of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

He noted that the former member of the PDP in Moro Local Government has used the MAAUF as a road and point of entry to the ruling APC.

While responding to the interview, Chief Wole Oke said the rally was an opportunity to sensitize members of APC in Moro Local Government for the forthcoming party primaries.

Elder statesmen, Lawyer Kunle Sulaiman, Sen. Ahmed Muhammed; APC State Secretary, Alhaji Mustapha Isowo; Kwara APC Senatorial Chairman, Alhaji Sulaimon Muhammed; Moro APC Chairman, Alhaji Jimoh Adebayo; Moro TIC Chairman, Alhaji Abdulganiy Alikinla; Kwara Central APC Youth Leader, Mallam Zubair Aliyu amongst others gave their goodwill messages at the event.
